When you hire us, you get straight talk from day one. We don’t cut corners. The investment in your home deserves the right materials and skilled application techniques. We have 30 years of experience in this business. We’re homeowners ourselves, and we want you to be happy for many years. We are also very experienced with working with HOAs and real estate agents.

We will discuss the surface to be painted – how we will apply the paint, and how many coats of paint. Our proposal will explicitly note the number of gallons required for your home. We also talk about the method of application and if and how much primer is needed

Before We Work

We do a color consultation. Viewing color samples under artificial light in a store rarely tells the whole story. We look at the paint color in three different lights with the you: morning, afternoon, and evening. Certain colors change a lot throughout the day. We assist in choosing the color you will be happy with day in and day out.

Our expertise in the chemical makeup of paint allows us to choose the right product for this climate and your home. Do not rely on the retail clerk at a paint store, who might offer your the most expensive paint that is not right for your home. In this altitude and climate, the paint may fade or wear differently than noted in the generic manufacturer’s specifications,

On the Job

Preparation: We explain every step of the process. We start with a thorough power wash to remove all the dirt from the surface to be painted. Afterward, we scrape off any loose paint from the dried surface and then we caulk thoroughly.

Application: For better penetration and adhesion, we often use a back roll process which massages the paint deep into the surface. The number of applications depends on the type and condition of the home’s surface. The number of gallons of paint and the labor is already part of the initial quote. As we work, coating thickness is checked using a gauge tool to ensure proper thickness and for warranty

The Finish: We walk the entire house with you to make sure we did everything on our quote. Our standard procedure is to leave a properly-labeled gallon of each color of paint used for our job.
